            BANDI FISH FRY

          Kickstart your weekend food mood with this Bandi Fish Fry — a crispy, spiced roadside favourite that’s just perfect with dal and rice. 🌿🍚 
 A popular roadside dish made in a large frying pan on a bandi (roadside cart) —   perfect in this weather. 
Ingredients:  
500g fish (any firm white fish will do) 
1 tsp red chilli powder 
1/2 tsp ground coriander 
1/4 tsp ground turmeric 
1 tsp ground black pepper 
1/4 tsp ground garam masala 
1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste 
Juice of 1 large lime 
1 tsp salt 
Method:  
1. Mix all the ingredients adding a tbsp of water to make a thick paste. Coat the fish with the paste and let it marinate for 15-20 minutes. 
2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until deep brown and cooked through. 
🍚Serve with Dal and steamed rice.
