Bandi Fish Fry - Crispy Roadside-Style Fish

Ingredients

  • 500g fish (any firm white fish will do)
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground garam masala
  • 1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste
  • Juice of 1 large lime
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients adding a tbsp of water to make a thick paste. Coat the fish with the paste and let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until deep brown and cooked through.

Serving Suggestion

🍚 Serve with Dal and steamed rice.
