Everyday Chicken Kebabs
Serves 2-3 people
Delicious chicken kebabs that are simple to make, quick and perfect for any day of the week.
Ingredients
- 400g chicken, diced
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chilli paste (soak a few dried red chillies in some warm water for 15mins, and pound into a paste, or use ready-made)
- 100g thick yogurt
- 1 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp ground garam masala
- 1 tsp salt
- Chaat masala to sprinkle over
Step by Step Method
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced chicken, lemon juice, ginger and garlic paste, red chilli paste, thick yogurt, oil, ground garam masala, and salt.
- Mix thoroughly until the chicken is well coated in the marinade.
- Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes to allow the flavours to develop.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (fan) or heat a greased griddle pan over high heat.
- Cook the chicken kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning on all sides until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Sprinkle with chaat masala and garnish with fresh coriander.
- Serve on a bed of plain yogurt sprinkled with chaat masala.
