Everyday Chicken Kebabs

Serves 2-3 people

Delicious chicken kebabs that are simple to make, quick and perfect for any day of the week.

Ingredients

  • 400g chicken, diced
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli paste (soak a few dried red chillies in some warm water for 15mins, and pound into a paste, or use ready-made)
  • 100g thick yogurt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp ground garam masala
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Chaat masala to sprinkle over

Step by Step Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced chicken, lemon juice, ginger and garlic paste, red chilli paste, thick yogurt, oil, ground garam masala, and salt.
  2. Mix thoroughly until the chicken is well coated in the marinade.
  3. Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes to allow the flavours to develop.
  4. Preheat your oven to 200°C (fan) or heat a greased griddle pan over high heat.
  5. Cook the chicken kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning on all sides until cooked through and slightly charred.
  6. Sprinkle with chaat masala and garnish with fresh coriander.
  7. Serve on a bed of plain yogurt sprinkled with chaat masala.
